Programa Hoy No Circula pass
If you are traveling to or through Mexico City, you need to be aware of Hoy No Circula. Mexico City has restricted what vehicles can be used during what days of the week. You can read more about this program here:

However, there is a way to get to use your foreign-plated vehicle in Mexico City for limited amounts of time. You have to fill out a El Pase Turístico or "Tourist Pass" at the linked website, print it out and take it with you while driving through the city. The form is in Spanish however. If you do not speak Spanish, you can try using Google Chrome's built in translation software to be able to fill it out or find someone that speaks Spanish that will help you. In our time in Mexico, we have found numerous people that are willing to help translate for us.
